RACELINE: TIP OF THE DAY 13th February

Another winner yesterday made it five from the last seven selections for our resident tipster, Scoop Racing (Richard Silverwood). Here is today’s advice:

Wednesday February 13

GOD’S OWN

Musselburgh 2.10 WIN

Gloucestershire trainer Tom George makes the long trek to Scotland in a bid to return one of his best novice hurdlers to the winner’s enclosure. The five-year-old son of Oscar was outclassed by My Tent Or Yours last time, but considering how that one bolted up in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury last Saturday, it was no disgrace to finish fewer than ten lengths in arrears. Before then, George’s charge had run out an impressive winner at Doncaster, having previously finished a creditable second in both a point-to-point and a Bumper. Today’s step-up in trip should suit him well, as should the sharp track and Good ground, considering he’s such a strong-travelling horse.
