Morrrions Buxton paints it yellow for Marie Curie
Morrisons Buxton joined a month-long fundraising relay for Marie Curie

During August, Morrisons stores across the UK supported its month-long Paint It Yellow fundraising relay for Marie Curie, the UK’s leading end of life charity.
The Morrisons Paint It Yellow fundraiser helps to raise much needed funds through in-store collections and fundraising activities so that Marie Curie Nurses and healthcare professionals can provide expert care and support in people's homes and within the community, at the charity’s hospices and via its free Support Line. Marie Curie is Morrisons national charity partner, with a shared ambition to improve end of life care in local communities. Since launching the partnership in November 2024, Morrisons customers and colleagues have raised nearly £7 million for Marie Curie and made a meaningful difference in local communities.

The money raised through the relay will help Marie Curie to continue to provide people with expert end of life care and support in people's homes, within the community and at the charity’s hospices, whatever the illness, wherever they are.
It will also help to fund the charity’s free Support Line (0800 090 2309) and webchat, which is available to anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from and those close to them. It offers practical and emotional support on everything from symptom management and day-to-day care to financial information and bereavement support.
Rob Harrison, Morrisons Community Champion at the Buxton store, said: “Here at the Buxton store, we’re proud to be supporting our national charity partner, Marie Curie, with the Paint it Yellow fundraiser again this summer.
“We reached our target of 1000 pounds so thanks to everyone who donated money during the month or bought an every pack gives back product.
“We have also taken part in the fundraising relay where we have passed the baton to our colleagues in the Chapel en le frith store
Marie Curie supports people with any illness they are likely to die from including Alzheimer’s (and other forms of dementia), heart, liver, kidney and lung disease, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s, and advanced cancer. The charity provides expert care and support in people’s homes, in its hospices and over the phone via its free Information & Support Line.
