Holistic wellbeing business Shadow Work Studio opens its doors in Buxton

“I cannot wait to welcome people into The Shadow Work Studio and share what I have poured my heart into working towards”

A new holistic wellbeing business, The Shadow Work Studio, has opened its doors at Astral Lounge on Buxton Marketplace, offering a welcoming space for people to slow down, reconnect with themselves and make time for their wellbeing.

Founded and run by Nancy Brookes, The Shadow Work Studio offers a range of holistic treatments designed to encourage relaxation and provide an opportunity to step away from the pressures of everyday life.

Based within the new Astral Lounge premises, services currently available include lymphatic drainage and Gua Sha facials, Indian head massage, grounding facials and crystal healing.

Alongside The Shadow Work Studio, Nancy also runs Juniper Counselling, a counselling service supporting people through therapeutic services.

While both businesses share a commitment to supporting individuals, they offer distinct experiences. As Nancy explains, they are “sisters, not twins” - two complementary services designed to reach people in different ways and offer support suited to their individual needs.

Through The Shadow Work Studio, Nancy hopes to create an approachable, comfortable environment where people can take time for themselves, explore holistic treatments, and make space for their inner work.

With the new space now open and further events in development, Nancy is looking forward to expanding what The Shadow Work Studio offers both within Astral Lounge and across the wider Buxton community.

Nancy added:  “There is so much more to come from The Shadow Work Studio, both in and outside of the salon setting. Think healing days, more sound baths ,and opportunities for people to pause, reflect and make time for themselves.

“I cannot wait to welcome people into The Shadow Work Studio and share what I have poured my heart into working towards. My aim is to create a space where people feel comfortable, welcomed and able to take some time for themselves.”

The Shadow Work Studio is now accepting bookings at Astral Lounge, Buxton Marketplace.
