Hundreds of runners dressed as Santas will take on a festive 5km as Blythe House’s Jingle Bell Jog returns to Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens.
The run will take place on Sunday December, 6.
A spokesperson for Blythe House said: “Grab your Santa suits to kick start the festive season the right way, by helping spread the festive cheer in raising funds for Blythe House Hospice.”
Under 12s can take part in a 700m fun run around the gardens.
The charity said: “Trust us this is not something you want to miss, join hundreds of others in creating a sea of Santa’s – bringing the true meaning of the season of helping others.”
The event starts on the Pavilion Gardens promenade, opposite the bandstand, and opens from 9.45am.
At 10.30am there will be a Santa-cise warm up to get everyone jolly
The 700m Fun Run for under 12’s will set off at 10.45am, followed by the 5km Jingle Bell Jog at 11am.

A spokesperson for Blythe House said: “Last year’s Jingle Bell Jog raised a huge £20,754 and by registering this year you are helping to raise vital funds for your local hospice, to enable us to continue in providing high quality care and support for patients and their families affected by life-limiting illnesses across North Derbyshire.”#
The Blythe House Hospice Jingle Bell Jog is a real team effort, says the charity.
“It takes a community to make a Christmas event like this happen.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the local businesses and organisations who are supporting this year’s Jingle Bell Jog and helping us bring a little festive fun to Buxton.”
These include IBottles, Clubbercise & Zumba with Accidental Fitness Buxton, Buxton Water, Castleton Silver Band, High Peak 1, Iain Klieve, Pavilion Gardens along with Up & Running UK who are providing runner numbers free of charge and Lhoist for sponsoring the medals.
The spokesperson added: “Let’s make this Jingle bell Jog the biggest festive run yet.”
