Buxton Business Club to celebrate first anniversary
“It is encouraging to see 50 or 60 businesses represented each time we meet and to hear of the partnerships, collaborations and encouragements.”
Buxton Business Club, a network supporting businesses across Buxton, is set to celebrate its first anniversary next month at the Palace Hotel. The event will feature contributions from some of the more than 200 local members who have joined the organisation over the past year.

The club was established following the closure of Vision Buxton and seeks to support all Buxton businesses to thrive and inspire together, at a time of change and with many challenges for businesses in Buxton and the surrounding area.
Steve Thomason, chair of Buxton Business Club, said, “On behalf of the team that help run Buxton Business Club, thank you to all those businesses who have come along to our networking events, and interacted with us through our newsletter and social media feed. It is encouraging to see 50 or 60 businesses represented each time we meet and to hear of the partnerships, collaborations and encouragements.
“In 2027, we aim to build on our success by expanding our networking events and strengthening partnerships with other local organisations. Together, we hope to develop business initiatives that share knowledge, represent local businesses and foster collaboration for the benefit of the wider Buxton community.”
Come and join our special 1st Anniversary networking event. The evening will have a short Podcast interview about a local business, and a focused interview about how money from national government is allocated to regions, what some of the policies announced in the October Chancellors Budget are, and how all this impacts businesses in Buxton for the future. “As newcomers to the group, we found everyone incredibly warm, welcoming and genuine. We've attended a few networking events recently, and this one really stood out for all the right reasons.” Carrie Burgess from Stoney Philbin & Company Ltd.
Buxton Business Club is free to join for owners and senior managers at any business in Buxton, or if your business is out-of-town but has senior employees living in the town or vicinity.
