Copies of the tongue-in-cheek calendar show staff from the Royal Oak in Hurdlow stripping down and baring all to raise funds for Challenge Derbyshire - which helps all three hospices in the county.

Duty manager Sarah Hodgkinson has worked at the pub for two years and said the idea only started as a joke.

The 42-year-old who will be the face of February said: “We were on a night out and three of us thought it would be a laugh but our boss, Paul White, didn’t think anyone would be interested so we just saw that as a challenge then.”
The staff shot the pictures on Sarah’s camera in mid November.

She said: “We were doing it all in secret as we were just going to give a copy to Paul so it was after work and when the pub was closed.

“It was a great laugh and we really enjoyed it. We did trial shots with clothes on and worked out where things should go to protect people’s modesty then I turned round and told them to get their kit off.

“For some of the shots we were outside and it was cold and dark and people were freezing, we even had one girl have to duck down out of sight as a car came passed it was very funny.”

The calendar has proved so popular a second print run been done and Sarah added: “We are all so pleased with how it has turned out and thank you to everyone who has bought one.”
