If you’re struggling to get to your local vet then Knox and Devlin in Whaley Bridge has launched its on-the-road service to visit your pet at home for an easier, hassle-free experience.

Not everyone has the ability or time to take their pet to the vets, which is why Knox and Devlin Veterinary Surgeons is now offering convenient home visits.

So whether your pampered pooch needs to have its nails clipped or a routine flea treatment, or you have a more urgent medical pet emergency, Knox and Devlin can help.

If you’re a cat owner, you will know how difficult it can be to get your pet into their basket and how much they usually hate a journey to the vets – so the new vet-on-the-road service could be the answer for a more stress-free experience.

Is the home visit by a qualified vet?

Yes. They will send a qualified vet on every house call, as well as a veterinary nurse if needed.

Are home visits for emergencies or routine treatments?

Both. From routine vaccinations and wellbeing treatments to more urgent appointments, just call to discuss your needs and make an appointment.

If the home visit is to collect a pet which has passed away, your cremation or burial needs can also be discussed.

Where will they treat my pet in my home and how do I prepare for the visit?

To ensure your home visit goes smoothly:

· Choose a secure, brightly lit area where you pet feels safe

· Clear a surface such as a table or the floor to make room for the examination

· Make sure there is a plug socket nearby and available

· If you have other pets, put them in another area of the house to reduce distractions

· Relax and let the professional look after your pet!

How much does it cost?

Members of Knox and Devlin’s Healthy Pet Club can enjoy discounted home visits as part of their membership subscription. 48 hours’ notice is needed to qualify for discounted home visits.

When you call to make an appointment, you will be given an estimate for a home visit so there are no hidden costs.

Also, if you have more than one pet at your home, you will only be charged one home-visit fee per household.
