The Conservatives in the High Peak have chosen their candidate to fight the next general election.

He will campaign to regain the parliamentary seat lost to Labour’s Ruth George at the 2017 general election.

“I am delighted to be selected as the Conservative candidate for High Peak,” Robert said.

“I’m looking forward to working with local people to help protect what makes the High Peak so special and to make it an even better place to live.”

His campaign will focus on getting the best Brexit deal for High Peak, improving local healthcare provision and supporting jobs and economic growth.
