Mary Davies has decided to retire from her post as secretary at Burbage Brass Band, while Janet Shirt has retired as organiser of the 100 Club – a monthly prize draw raising vital funds for the band.

Committee member Jeanne Henson said: “The band thanks Mary and Janet for all their hard work, not only as secretary and fundraiser respectively but also for their many other contributions over many years.”
