Hathersage crew puts out two car fires in Peak District

Hathersage firefighters were called to two car fires in the Peak District overnight.

The first car fire was on the A57 at Ladybower near the junction with the A6013.

The crew were called there at 11.48pm, where they found one saloon vehicle well alight.

They used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze, as well as a fire which had spread to surrounding trees.

The fire was out by 12.24am.

The second fire was again on the A57 between Ladybower and Snake Pass.

Firefighters attended at 3.23am and found another saloon car well alight.

They used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which was out by 3.54am.
