APPEAL: '˜Doorstep caller' trickster stole money from pensioner

Police are appealing for information following theft from an elderly woman in Taddington.

On the morning of Monday, February 27, a doorstep caller visited a property on Main Street in Taddington selling cleaning products.

Once inside, the 93-year-old victim bought a pair of scissors and the man left. It is believed that £30 was stolen from the property.

Following the incident, residents in the area are being asked who may have been visited by a door step caller on Monday to get in touch.
