KINEMATIC

Chester 4.15 WIN

As a punter, I rarely bet at Chester because so much depends on a horse’s draw, break and ability to act round the tight turns of such an idiosyncratic track. However, everything slots into place there today for Andrew Balding’s speedy two-year-old filly, owned by The Queen. The daughter of Kyllachy is a front-runner who needs a bit of cut in the ground, so box two on a Good To Soft surface presents her with a golden chance to land her first victory. What’s more, Balding boasts a fine strike rate at the course, and his charge’s handicap mark of 78 is perfectly fair given her form so far behind some useful rivals.
