The opening stage provided some surprises, with several regular Darley winners switching classes.

Local interest will be found somewhere near the head of the field in the majority of classes, with entries already received from many top-three riders in the championship.

A small number of 2013 champions have begun a successful defence of their titles.

In addition to the regular championship classes for two, three and four wheels, there will be a round of the national Classic 50 Championship.

This championship will give spectators the opportunity to see and hear some of the smallest racing machines ever made.

The action begins at 10am with practice sessions for all classes, while the first race is scheduled to start at 11.30am, with non-stop race action through to 6pm.

Normal admission price at Darley Moor is £12, or £8 for senior citizens and free for children under-16.

Parking and paddock transfer is free, with programmes priced £3.
