Horse-racing ‘Tip Of The Day’ — Thursday November 22

Heavy rain has wreaked havoc with today’s racing programme, forcing the abandonment of two meetings. So it’s off to Market Rasen for the selection.

Thursday November 22

UXIZANDRE

Market Rasen 1.10 WIN

Owners’ syndicate, the Million In Mind Partnership, is a long-established offshoot of the Newmarket-based Highflyer Bloodstock, which was due to sponsor the big race of the day at Warwick yesterday. Therefore, the hint was taken that Alan King chose the meeting to give a UK debut to this promising young hurdler, owned by Million In Mind, in one of the support races on the card. Unfortunately, the meeting was abandoned because of a waterlogged track, but King has wasted no time in re-routing his charge, suggesting he’s very much ready to do the business. The four-year-old has been recruited, by renowned bloodstock agent Anthony Bromley, from France, where he finished a fine second on his sole start. That represents respectable form which most of his rivals today struggle to match. King is also convinced that the gelding won’t be fazed by the 2m3f trip on testing ground, which promises to be quite a stamina examination for these young novices.
