Golfing ladies take centre stage at Chapel club gathering
Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club hosted the Derbyshire Ladies County Golf Association County Foursomes earlier this month, with conditions picture perfect for the day.
The sun shone and the course was in superb condition as the County Captain, Sheila Bainbridge from Breadsall Priory, presented the County Foursomes Salvers to the winners, who were Lesley Watson and Debbie Deakin from Mickleover with a nett 73.5.
Pam Wilson and Bernadette Staden from Chapel posted second place with a nett score of 74.5 while Veronica Woolley and Fiona Biggin, also from Chapel, finished in third place with a nett score of 75.
The best gross score of the day went to Sian Mansey from Horsley Lodge and Catrin Russell from Chevin with 83.
