Golf: Hat-trick for Kevin
Kevin Bloor won his third major of the season when he lifted the Cotton Trophy with a majestic three-under gross 65-4=61.
The trophy is named after the late great Henry Cotton who played an exhibition match at Cavendish in 1943 in order to raise funds for the British Red Cross.
Runner-up to Bloor in this event was Gerard Costello with an excellent 79-16=63, while sitting in third was Andrew Smith(83-18=65) with Steve Hunter’s 74-8=66 landing him fourth place.
The best full handicap score was Andy Peters’ 67.
The Vice President’s Betterball was won by juniors Conor Baker and Oliver Toseland with a remarkable 47 points.
