AFC Wellington and Buxton Stags met at Birchall with the Stags dominating the game scoring 12 without reply.

In the first half, Joe Burgess bagged a brace with singles from Jack Gregory, Callum Burns, Connor Johnson and Pete Richardson.

The second half was much the same with another brace from Burgess, another from Gregory, and singles from Andy Jackson, Gary Tait and Liam Sircar.

Dec Heath took just five minutes to give Dyers Arms an early lead against Waterhouses, only for Jake Binns to swap the lead with a quickfire brace.

Dan Buxton increased the lead in the 13th minute and Sam Potts pulled one back on the half hour to keep Dyers in the game.

But Binns struck another quick brace to give Waterhouse a comfortable 5-2 lead at the break.

Buxton completed his brace on the hour with Owen Fairhurst adding a single in the 72nd minute.

Dom Grindey reduced the arrears three minutes later.

Bulls Head met Vale Hoppers in the local derby at Back Lane.

Bulls Head may be under new management, but it was little change from last season as Hoppers raced to a three-goal lead in 25 minutes through Ben Accom, Ben Ambage and Lee Harrop.

Bulls Head did settle down and Stu Orton reduced the arrears five minutes after the break.

Hoppers’ superior fitness showed after the hour as star of the show Zak Oakes fired in four and Dan Challinor a single to make it 8-1.

Champions Golden Lion, who didn’t drop a point last season, entertained runners up Prince of Wales at Windmill Street.

It was another tense battle with Prince of Wales coming away with a 4-2 win.

Breaks FC had a comfortable game against club mates Breaks Athletic.

Andy Mayer opened with an early goal in the sixth minute and Dan Evans hit a second five minutes into the second half.

AFC Wellington 0, Buxton Stags 12.

Breaks Athletic 0, Breaks FC 2.

Bulls Head 1, Vale Hoppers 8.

Dyers Arms FC 3, Waterhouses FC 7.

Golden Lion 2, Prince of Wales 4.
