Buxton head to local rivals Ilkeston on Saturday, hoping that they are not set to be dragged into an end-of-season relegation dogfight.

“That’s what we need to do now. Just get enough points to remain in this division and then push on.”

Ilkeston boss Kevin Wilson has stoked the fires ahead of the clash at the New Manor Ground.

He said: “They’re in a bit of a bad run and not far outside the relegation places so will be fighting for their lives on Saturday and we have to be ready for that.”

Winger Alastair Taylor has returned to Alfreton after his loan spell ended.
