Bucks and Millers handed tricky cup ties

Buxton FC and New Mills AFC will both enter this year’s Doodson Sports League Cup at the first round stage.

The Bucks have been drawn away to First Division South side Carlton Town with a provisional date of Wednesday, November 13 pencilled in.

Martin McIntosh’s side will be hoping for a better showing in the competition this season after entering exiting at the third round stage last year.

Elsewhere, New Mills were drawn at home to Premier Division side Rushall Olympic with the two teams scheduled to meet at Church Lane on Monday, November 11.

The Millers also exited the cup at the first hurdle in 2012-13, when they were hammered 4-0 at Leek Town in the preliminary round.

Games that are level after 90 minutes will go straight to penalties.
