Club hails the Revolution after event success

Members of a Chapel Mixed Martial Arts club came away with 15 medals from the recent Revolution Derbyshire Championships.

In total, 25 competitors represented Paul Roberts’ MMA and they did the club proud as they achieved five golds, three silvers and seven bronze medals respectively.

The tournament took place at Chapel Leisure Centre - the home of Paul Roberts’ MMA.

The event holds competitions in various parts of the country and this was the first Derbyshire championships of its kind.

There was over 300 entries on the day and organisers have confirmed the event will now be a regular occurrence in January.

Jacob Roberts (gold points fighting, gold light continuous fighting, gold sport sword and bronze black belt forms); Rhys Roberts (gold sport sword, silver points fighting); Matthew Powell (gold points fighting); Dan Bailey (silver points fighting); Jake Williams (silver points fighting); Adam Gyte (bronze points fighting); Sam Wilcock (bronze points fighting); Callam Wardle (bronze sport sword); Andrew Wardle (bronze sport sword); Harvey Pembleton (bronze points fighting); Joseph Cooper (bronze forms).
