Woman racially abused in Buxton park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was racially abused at a park in Buxton.

A 46-year-old woman was walking her dog in Pavilion Gardens, Buxton. She let her dog off a lead to play in the water when a man began yelling at her before racially abusing her.

The man was described as white, aged 47-50-years-old, and of medium build. He wore a dark coloured three quarter length coat, a camouflaged hat with ear flaps and spoke in a local accent.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, which happened at about 11.15am on Monday, February 22.
