Wet and windy day for Derbyshire
The Met Office is forecasting a wet and windy day for Derbyshire and the East Midlands today, Wednesday January 7.
After a dry and cold start with some sunny spells, cloud will increase with outbreaks of rain spreading from the west by early afternoon, and with winds becoming strong and gusty. The maximum temperature will be eight degrees centigrade.
Tonight will be cloudy with further rain at times through the evening though this will dry out from the west after midnight. All areas will be dry with clear spells by morning. The minimum temperature will be six degrees centigrade.
