Heavy snow will fall throughout the morning and into the afternoon, gradually getting lighter as the day goes on, according to the Met Office. Parts of the town were also covered by snow on Monday.
Another cold and windy day is predicted, with a noticeable wind chill. Temperatures will feel like -5 for most of the day, with sleet showers also forecast for this afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to turn milder as the week goes on, but the snow will turn to heavy rain strong winds interspersed with drier spells. Temperatures are likely to stay in single figures for the rest of the week.
