WEATHER: Flood risk warning for Derbyshire

The Met Office has issued a '˜yellow' warning for rain, which could cause flooding in Derbyshire this weekend.

The warnings is in place from noon on Saturday (February 20) until 11.55pm on Sunday (February 21).

Forecasters say the rainfall is likely to be heavy and persistent.

The warning adds: “The heaviest and most persistent rainfall is expected to occur over high ground, which is likely to be accompanied by strong winds.”

“Please be aware of the potential for low level disruption due to difficult driving conditions and localised flooding of property.”
