Weather forecasters Meteogroup say that temperatures as low as -4°C are expected across the region.

A spokesman said: “Temperatures will drop below the seasonal average over the next few days.

“It is going to be mostly dry with sunshine during the day and clear spells at night.”

There will be highs of 4°C and lows of -4°C.

But the spokesman added that more snow is unlikely for the rest of this week.

Later this week, the temperature will change and become much milder, with rain and wind.
