Sports cars, luxury holidays and mega mansions are among the splurges on lottery winner’s shopping lists, but how would you spend more than £5.5m?

That is the ‘million-dollar’ question for ex-Chelsea footballer Terry Bradbury and wife Ann who are coming to terms with their fortune after winning a whopping £5,517,016 in the Lotto draw on Saturday.

The caring couple, who matched six numbers, said they intend to spend the cash on looking after their family.

But the Times has come up with some other slightly wacky ways to splash the cash...

Shoe fanatics could buy 27,500 pairs of designer stiletto’s such as Christian Louboutin or Jimmy Choo, with each pair priced at £200.

For those with a sweet tooth, you could shell out all your winnings on 11,000,000 Mars bars priced at 50p each – certainly a lifetime supply!

Instead of splashing out on a super car you could purchase England’s most popular car the Ford Fiesta – in fact you could buy 550 of them from £10,000 each.

If you’re partial to a pint or two, £5.5m would get you around 1,571,000 pints priced at £3.50.

If you fancy getting away and seeing the sights you could spend millions on an indefinite around the world trip. Or you could buy ten of Britain’s most expensive caravans. With its luxury Italian kitchen, top-of-the range flat screen television and iPhone controlled heating system, it’s not your average caravan.

But then, at £550,000, it doesn’t come with the average caravan price tag either.

Die-hard bargain hunters could buy 5,500,000 different items from Poundland.

If you’re looking to get a foot on the property ladder you could consider buying a fish and chip shop in the Peak District for around £70,000, a historic hall with 7,16 acres for £1,950,000 or even 378 acres of Derbyshire farmland for £4,075,000.
