The A57 Snake Pass, A537 Cat & Fiddle, A53 Leek Road and A6024 Holme Moss were all closed, according to the council’s update at 6.40am this morning (February 27).

All the roads have now reopened.

A spokesperson for the council said that the roads were closed “due to heavy snow making the routes impassable.”
