TRAFFIC: Lorry fire on motorway
There is heavy traffic and one lane closed on the M1 northbound at junction 28 (alfreton) following a lorry fire.
Severe delays should be expected in the roadworks area after the update this morning (Thursday, October 15), with congestion around the junction, traffic affected as far as junction 27 and heavy traffic on the A38 in South Normanton.
Nottingham ROad in Ilkeston has now also been closed following an incident. Police have closed the road in both directions between White Lion Square and the Roberts Street junction with diversions in operation via Stanton Road and then Cavendish Road.
There is slow moveing traffic on the A617 in Glapwell, between the Stockley Lane junction and the Back Lane junction.
