“He is without doubt one of the world’s best acts. For over five decades he’s been at the very top of the tree, playing to packed audiences all over the world.”

Producer Liz Hobbs MBE added: “Chesterfield have been so keen to have Tom perform at the stadium. I cannot tell you how delighted I am to have helped realise this dream for the club. Watch out for an awesome night!”

Tom’s appearance follows a concert by Sir Elton John who attracted an audience of around 15,000 to the stadium in 2012.

Best known for hits such as It’s Not Unusual, Kiss, Delilah and What’s New Pussycat, Tom was knighted in 2006.
