Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Tuesday how Jane Williamson, 56, of Northwood Avenue, Darley Dale, was found by police after the tip-off.

Prosecuting solicitor Neil Hollett said a member of the public spotted Williamson appearing to stagger into her Audi and drive away erratically.

Police attended Williamson’s address as she returned and she registered 123microgrammes of alcohol in 100millilitres of breath when the limit is 35microgrammes. Williamson pleaded guilty to exceeding the drink-drive limit after the incident on August 7.

Defence solicitor Bertie Mather said Williamson has been consulting with the Addaction support group for three months because she recognises she has a problem. Magistrates adjourned the case to consider a probation report before sentencing on August 26.
