Chocolate firm Thorntons has confirmed that its Buxton shop, in the Springs Shopping Centre, is scheduled to close at the beginning of May in line with its store closure programme.

A spokesman said: “As with all other store closures, the company will try its utmost to redeploy staff to other stores in the area. Thorntons has been delighted to serve its many Buxton customers over the years and would love to welcome them to its Macclesfield and Stockport.”
