PCSO Anthony Boswell from the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “I would urge anyone with any information, or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously around the car park close to the swimming pool, to get in touch.

“Stolen number plates can be used by criminals to hide the identity of vehicles which are used to commit crime. It is important that anyone who has a number plate stolen contacts us as soon as possible so that officers can stop any vehicles carrying the plates before they are involved in any offences.

“I would also ask all motorists to take the time to check that their plates are securely fastened.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Shaun Jakins on 101, quoting crime number 8320/16m or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
