Struggling Chapel pub to become house
A Chapel-en-le-Frith pub is to be converted into a house after the landlady reported it had opened for as few as two customers in the past.
The Cross Keys Inn, on Hayfield Road, was granted planning permission for change of use at High Peak Borough Council’s development control committee meeting in the town on Monday.
Cllr Audrey Bramah said Gillian Naylor had run the pub since 1990, adding: “There would be no community loss due to the lack of customers. This business is not profitable; there is no commercial future.”
