Special lighting effects and trams in the dark will illuminate the site at Crich Tramway Museum in its Starlight Special Week from October 25 to November 2.

Take advantage of the spectacular views and go star gazing on the Woodland Walk and learn more about our solar system with the Planetarium.

There will be a selection of storytelling* throughout the week spinning spell binding and spooky tales. Pauline Chandler, Derbyshire author of teen fiction and history books, will be at the village for a book signing on October 28 and 30.

Woodies Wings will have a display of their fascinating birds and will be doing talks in the Learning Centre about the birds and their important work.

Throughout the week there will be an indoor craft fair in the Exhibition Hall with local handmade items and fabulous gift ideas.

From Thursday, October 30, things get really spooky as Halloween descends on the Village with witches skeletons hiding in the trees, eerie soundtracks and a decorated Halloween Tram.

In the Learning Centre there will spooky craft activities throughout the week, plus face painting and street entertainers, including the Folk Frenzy Dance Group on November 1.

Halloween themed menus will be served across the site and a carvery will be available in the Poulson Room from October 28 to November 2. The Red Lion Bar will have a selection of real ale and Halloween punch.

Children dressed in Halloween costume will be admitted free of charge (subject to terms and conditions) from Thursday, October 30, to Saturday, November 1, inclusive. Adults are welcome to dress up too!
