Police identify woman killed in Peak District collision

Wendy Jayne Slater, of Rakes Road, Monyash, was killed when the silver Vauxhall Corsa she was driving was in a head–on collision with a green Jaguar.

The accident happened on the Flagg Moor stretch of the A515 at approximately 6.45am.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jaguar, a 55–year–old man from the Chapel–en–le–Frith area, was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The Collision Investigation Unit is appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who was in the area at the time to contact them on 101.
