At around 8.15pm on Wednesday, March 8, two men, aged 19, were sat in a Citroen Saxo in a car park off Hawkshill Road, Eyam, when a man approached and smashed the driver’s window.

The man then dragged the driver out of the car before assaulting him with a bat. He was then punched and kicked, sustaining injuries to his head, ribs, and thighs.

The passenger window of the car was also smashed. He got out of the car and was kicked in the face.

It is believed that around four to six offenders were involved in the assault.
