High Peak scouts and guides took part in their first St George’s Day parade in eight years on Sunday.
More than 450 people, including guides and scouts from across the borough, paraded along Buxton’s Broad Walk to the bandstand in the Pavilion Gardens for a ceremony, followed by fun and games.
Debbie Rushworth, High Peak District Scout Commissioner, said: “It was a very proud moment seeing everyone coming together and it was so nice to have it back after nearly a decade without a celebratory parade.
“I hope we can do something again like this next year.”
The parade took place yesterday, April 22, on the closest Sunday to St George’s Day.
