PICTURES & VIDEO: Scouts and guides parade in Buxton to celebrate St George's Day

More than 450 people, including guides and scouts from across the borough, paraded along Buxton’s Broad Walk to the bandstand in the Pavilion Gardens for a ceremony, followed by fun and games.

Debbie Rushworth, High Peak District Scout Commissioner, said: “It was a very proud moment seeing everyone coming together and it was so nice to have it back after nearly a decade without a celebratory parade.

“I hope we can do something again like this next year.”

The parade took place yesterday, April 22, on the closest Sunday to St George’s Day.
