Performance arts company appeals for young recruits

Since its launch seven months ago, Buxton Opera House & Pavilion Arts Centre Young Company have collaborated with the National Theatre Connections Festival, appeared at The Lowry in Salford and performed with English Touring Opera.

Young Company is now recruiting for performers between the ages of 12 to 25 to become members of the group and take part in new projects.

Intake workshops will be held on the evenings of Wednesday, June 24, and Friday, June 26, at the Pavilion Arts Centre.

Participants will be asked to take part in a series of group exercises. Those selected at the auditions will start rehearsals in September 2015, working towards a live main-house production in 2016. During the ten-month period performers will work with industry professionals and receive training in performance, backstage and marketing.

All applicants must hold Young Company membership at the time of applying.
