Isabelle Kenyon, 23, is publisher, editor, type-setter, designer and tea-maker rolled into one at Fly on the Wall Press, launched back in 2018.

Little did she suspect that two years later, the company would be shortlisted in the British Book Awards regional shortlist for ‘Small Press of the Year’.

Isabelle wrote: ‘Fly on the Wall prides itself on being a publisher with a social conscience, whose origins are to be found in the publication of poetry anthologies on themes of social exclusion, homelessness, mental

health and climate change, with shares in the profits going to associated charities, including Shelter, Mind and WWF among others. Last year saw the publication of the ‘Planet in Peril’ anthology, featuring photography and poetry from writers across the world.’

In autumn 2020, Isabelle will continue this pattern, with the launch of ‘We Are Somebody’ in conjunction with the charity Streetchild United – an anthology which will give voice to young street children from all over the world who have been involved with the Street Child World Cup in either football or cricket.

When not working on the next book in her schedule, Isabelle is kept more than busy as a freelance editor and book marketing consultant, as well as promoting her own writing and editing achievements through workshops and presentations at literary festivals.
