The film documents Eddie’s transition from strong man to action film star and features interviews with Jason Statham, The Rock, Tyson Fury, Guy Ritchie and others.

In the film Jon and his team recreate a classic scene from Hollywood blockbuster Terminator 2 - with Eddie playing the role of Arnie’s iconic robot assassin.

He said: “The scene is a homage to Eddie’s favourite film - Terminator 2 - and was one of the most relaxing shoots I’ve ever done.

“In the original scene my character gets thrown by the Terminator through a window and lands on a kitchen grill but I land on tables.

“Eddie did give me a lift at one point and to be honest I think he could have done it for real - it was really good fun.”

The documentary tells how Eddie - at a crossroads in his life after a successful strongman career - turned to life-long hero and friend Arnold Schwarzenegger for help breaking into Hollywood.

The story begins with Eddie's humble beginnings in Stoke-on-Trent - where as a young man he battled depression and shows how with the support of his family he overcame the emotional, physical and mental challenges of competitive sport to rise to the top of the Strongman world.

Eddie, who is slowly reopening his Whaley Bridge gym back up for socially-distanced training, hopes the film - set for release in March - will bring it the attention it deserves.
