One of the organisers, Jules Fell, said “We are delighted to announce Tideswell’s famed food festival is returning once again. The streets of our historic village are set to be lined with over 50 stalls selling a wide range of locally produced food, both fresh, hot street food to eat on the day, and delicious goods to take home. Tideswell is a beautiful village, with plenty of pretty places to sit and enjoy a picnic of freshly-bough produce.”

Tideswell food festival began in 2011 as a celebration of the range and quality of local food on offer in the Peak District. Its popularity has seen the festival grow year-on-year.

Live music, singing and dance from local talent will also entertain visitors throughout the day. Local traders throw open their doors and include a a bakery, wool shop and dying studio, fresh fruit and veg and a fabulous second-hand bookshop. In addition, the local café, Tideswell Lounge, Cherry Tree takeaway café and a number of friendly pubs and shops will be open, making this day one of the top Summer events for Peak District visitors and locals.

Jules said: “The wonders continue indoors too, with the village’s famous church, known as the “Cathedral of the Peak” housing an artisan Makers’ Market, with work from dozens of local artists and craftspeople on sale from jewellery and ceramics to knitwear and paintings.”

The Tideswell Food Festival organising team is putting emphasis on reducing the carbon footprint of the event.
