Among those attending were Buxton Mountain Rescue Team’s drone section who were initially asked to help the fire crews identify the specific area on fire.

Once they arrived at the site, they found that fire crews already on scene had successfully extinguished the fire.

The team were then asked to launch a drone and look for hot spots, as well as photograph the area. They were also asked to help locate any water sources on the plateau.
