Speaking following his appointment Rob said: "I am immensely proud to have been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Fire Officer for Derbyshire.

“It is an exciting time to step into this role, supporting and leading the service as it faces the challenges ahead. The sector continues to evolve and look for different ways to support the needs of our diverse communities and the near future will present key opportunities to demonstrate the value that the fire service represents.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to work with the dedicated, professional employees who deliver a first class service to the communities of Derbyshire and further developing our collaborative relationships with partners, as we continue to Make Derbyshire Safer Together.”
