The video, shared on Buxton Fire Station’s Facebook page on Thursday evening, shows the crew trying to get to a property on Windsor Road in Fairfield but being hampered by cars parked on both sides of the road. In the video, you can see how narrow the gap is on one side between the fire engine and a parked car.

But the problem is not just restricted to that road, and is something crews often face when on emergency call outs.

Posting on Facebook, they said: “Can anyone spot the problem? We are responding to a chimney fire...could well have been a house fire person reported? Please think about parking!”

Thankfully in this instance, the call turned out to be a false alarm so crews gave advice and fitted two smoke alarms.
