Eddi Fiegel is writing a book documenting not only women’s recollections of seeing the group but their own individual stories.
Author Eddi - who admitted being ‘fascinated’ by the women who queued for hours to see the Merseyside band - told how she wanted to hear accounts of how the women came to be at the shows.

Hide AdShe said: “We’re all so used to seeing these pictures of screaming, hysterical women but when we see them we think of them as a phenomenon.
“I’d like to know their back stories - whether they told their parents they were sleeping over at a friend's house, whether they skived off school to be there or whether they saved for weeks to afford a ticket.”
Some 2,500 fans attended the Pavilion show - with police struggling to control the crowd.
Young girls were seen fainting and being carried off by St John Ambulance staff on the night of the memorable gig.
