Now the club, which holds adult and children classes, is looking for a new venue.

“I’ve got the judo mats at my house but I don’t want this to drag on. I want to be in a new place as soon as possible.”
Adam says the classes are so important to him and the youngsters who take part.
“I set these classes up to give back to the community and to help improve their mental and physical health and become a safe space for them.
“I can already see the difference in so many children.

He says Ethan started off shy but is now so outgoing.
“It’s all thanks to judo,” he says.

Hide Ad“We aren’t at Harpur Hill anymore but I don’t want these wonderful kids to miss out on doing something they love because we no longer have a space to practise.”
He says in the coming weeks there are tournaments the children want to take part in and he wants to spend this time getting them ready, but with no venue he can not hold any classes.
Adam has already been to view space next to the Discount Centre in Buxton where Otter Controls were based.

“But we’d love to hear from a business or a couple of businesses that may want to sponsor us.
