Ramblers, red-socks, hikers, and strollers are being invited to lace-up their walking boots to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK.

The Walk for Parkinson’s event will take place at 10am on Saturday, June 6, and will start at Bakewell Showground.

The event is designed for walkers of all ages and abilities and people can choose from two routes, including a ten-mile or a three-and-a-half mile distance.

Paul Jackson-Clark, Director of Fundraising at Parkinson’s UK, said: “We are delighted to be hosting a Walk for Parkinson’s event in the Peak District.

“I would encourage everyone in Derbyshire to walk with us to help find a cure. The funds raised from the event will make a real difference to our work to improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.”
