A pioneering new campaign was launched on Monday with the aim to match likeminded High Peak bikers, who want to share their love of motorcycles with others, but find it tricky to meet people to bike with.

The new idea for #BikerBuddy has been organised by Carole Nash, which has been voted the UK and Ireland’s favourite motorcycle insurance broker.

Rebecca Donohue, head of marketing said: “We’ve found that although the biking community in the High Peak is very sociable, there are some bikers out there who struggle to find people to go to motorcycle meet-ups, shows, and events with.

“It’s true that enjoying the open road on two wheels is best experienced with a friend, which is why we’ve launched our #BikerBuddy campaign to recruit as many bikers as we possibly can, so people can share their love of motorcycles with others.”

The scheme is running for four weeks until 17th April, the #BikerBuddy will try to match as many bikers as possible during this time.

Derbyshire Roads Police are also working in conjunction with Derby and Derbyshire Roads Safety Partnership to reduce rider fatalities and injuries on the roads.

To take part share a description of the type of biker you are, and what kind of buddy you are looking by using #BikerBuddy @InsideBikes on twitter or email [email protected].
