An EMAS paramedic was first on scene and provided initial treatment.
The team then lowered the casualty down the hill on a specialist stretcher, controlled from a rope system anchored to team members at the top of the hill.
Once back at ground level, the stretcher was carried across the river and along the path to the waiting ambulance.
